Home > Mental Health Advocates Making a Difference
Our Mental Health Advocates are a dedicated group of students who work hard to promote positive mental health and wellbeing across the school community. Following their training in October, the students developed their understanding of mental health, learnt about the importance of supporting others, and explored practical ways to help their peers feel listened to, valued and supported.
The advocates meet regularly each month to discuss new ideas, plan wellbeing initiatives and consider how they can continue to raise awareness of mental health throughout the school. Their commitment helps to create a positive and inclusive environment where every student feels able to thrive.
As part of their work, the team has recently launched a Year 7 Wellbeing Club, which takes place every Thursday lunchtime in the Learning Support Room. The club provides a welcoming space for students to make new friends, take part in wellbeing activities and access support in a relaxed and friendly setting.
