- Try to introduce as much variety of music as you can to your child. Visit various kinds of musical performances, and introduce your child to various choirs and orchestras.
- While you are out and about in restaurants, stores, and other public spaces, ask your child to pay attention to the music being played. Do they detect any variations in the music performed at various locations?
- Encourage your child to take part in as many musical groups as possible.
- While your child is completing homework, housework, a puzzle, or other activities, play music. Ask your child to select the songs they feel are best suited for each kind of activity.
