School Sport Week – wc 5th July

From wc 5th July, pupils from years 7-10 will have an afternoon dedicated to the participation and enjoyment of school sport. Each pupil will choose one sport in which to represent their form, gaining valuable points to see which form will crowned the overall winners!

The events will be scheduled P5 and P6 as follows:

Monday 5th July – Year 9

Tuesday 6th July – Year 10

Thursday 8th July – Year 8

Friday 9th July – Year 7

Pupils will be allowed to come to school in their SFX PE kit on the day of their sports afternoon.

Summer Term – PE KIT INFORMATION DURING COVID RESTRICTIONS

Dear Parent/Guardian
Unfortunately due to the current covid restrictions pupils are still not allowed to enter the changing rooms for their PE lessons. To ensure that they can still access the curriculum we would like pupils to:
Please arrive in full SFX PE kit on the days they have PE. This must be SFX branded PE kit. I have contacted the supplier, ‘laser schoolwear’ and they have assured me that all sizes for both the polo and the football shirt are currently in stock (wc 07/06/21). If pupils are waiting for a top to arrive, they must arrive to school in their full school uniform, including tie and blazer with an appropriate kit in their bag to get changed into. With the limited amount of pupils needing this provision, we can safely ensure a socially distanced and covid secure changing room. Pupils will not be allowed to arrive to school in their own clothes.
With the weather now improving, we would also like pupils to wear a school jumper or coat on top of their school kit and not a tracksuit. The policy of allowing the tracksuits was a common sense approach for pupils arriving to and from school during the colder weather. With the weather now significantly warmer, we no longer see the need for tracksuits to be worn.

The Big Ask is survey for children and young people aged 4–17 in England. It is being led by Rachel de Souza, the Children’s Commissioner for England.

This is your chance to have your say on the things that matter to you. You can tell the Commissioner what your life is like, what you want in the future, and anything you think is holding you back.

They will use what you say to tell the people who run the country or your local area what you think needs to change to make your life better.

They won’t ask for your name, phone number or email, and they will keep what you tell them safe and private – it won’t be shared with anyone else. You don’t have to answer any question if you don’t want to.
